As a Family Photographer in Vernon, I am always blessed and honoured when I get to work with a family, as their family grows.  I often find for my regular clients that extended family visiting the Okangan is always a great time for family portraits. For the Maetche Family, whom I have had the pleasure of photographing twice for maternity  and newborn sessions, it was  Anna who contacted me to say that Justin’s family was going to be visiting from Alberta.

Included, was Justin’s parents and his brother with his beautiful wife and adorable four month old son Parker.

I last saw Justin and Anna 6 months ago when little Marcus was brand new, so to see how much he has changed and grown since last session was so much fun!

Big brother Daniel, was the cutie he always is!

The purple rocket around the city of Vernon is absolutely this time of year and I wanted to take full advantage of it.

The sun was still pretty high in the sky at 6 when we were to start our session at the location I wanted to use, so we started at one of my favorite, treed drive ways for some of the larger family portraits (thank you to my ever awesome neighbor for letting me borrow it once again).

When working with little ones you always need to work with their bed time schedule too so not wanting to go to late, we then made our way to the field with all the beautiful purple rockets. Thanks to grandma and grandma for jumping to the task of being my assistant by blocking the sun from my tiny little subjects!

Parker is a pretty serious little man but a few rounds of peek a boo got a few smirks ☺    Thanks Daniel for being such a strong big brother for little Marcus to lean on.

And a final thank you to all the grown ups for putting up with me while I made you snuggle your signicant other while everyone watched!  I know it seems akward sometimes but you all look fabulous and I think it is important to celebrate your wonderful marriages!
