I have loved getting to know so many different families over the years creating Vernon Newborn Photography.

Without knowing I had met Cailey’s mom and dad before we met at my studio at the Caetani Centre, as soon as they stepped out of the car, they looked very familiar. Thankfully dad Mark knew we had met one year prior when my other photography company, Wedded Bliss Photography had photographed a good friends of theirs wedding. I actually sat with Jocelyn and Mark at the reception and I remember how much I enjoyed talking to them. I also remember how much I loved the dress Jocelyn was wearing. (I’m a little obsessed with dresses-anyone who knows me-they are all I wear when the weather is warm enough). Jocelyn wore another gorgeous one to her session today with baby Cailey!

At 15 days new, Miss Cailey definitely had her own ideas in mind of how the session would go. She was definitely NOT a fan of me doing any poses that included straight fingers under her chin or cheek. And if I dare to touch her fingers, she let me know that was not part of her idea of a fun time. Problem is, I wouldn’t give up so her and I had to come to an agreement 🙂  In the end, my patience won and the following adorable images are a result of her finally settling into a milk induced sleep.

She really enjoyed being swaddled (which I figured she would) so the family portion of her session was an absolute dream to capture. I mean seriously…how gorgeous are mom and dad?

It was so lovely to see Jocelyn and Mark and year later with a whole new adventure on the horizon for them. I am so thrilled that their little girl has arrived and made them a beautiful family of three!
