The beautiful Dylan was recently in my Baby Bliss Photography studio for her Vernon Newborn Portraits.   The Baby Bliss Photography studio, nestled in on the grounds of the historic Caetani Cultural Centre, was the perfectly warm and inviting space we needed to create these images on a snowy, and dreary day!

At just under two weeks of age, I just wanted to cuddle Miss Dylan all day!  Mom, Brynne, and Dad, Will, are over the moon enamoured with her too.  It was so evident.  I love my newborn portrait sessions so much.  They allow new parents to sit and watch their newest addition for a couple of hours and just soak in their cuteness.  I hear so many ooohhhs and ahhhhs and it makes my heart so happy to feel the love for their little one in the room.

When they first arrived and I presented the idea of doing some mom and babe images, and dad and daughter, mom wasn’t so sure.  I totally understand the predicament a new mom finds herself in.  They often don’t feel very photogenic and the last thing they want to do is get in front of a camera.  Thankfully however, with some gentle coaxing, I got mom to agree to a few.  And she is so happy she did!  Those newborn snuggle portraits are priceless.  Although it doesn’t feel like it now, before they blink, little Dylan will be not so little and these images will be treasured for a life time.

For the final image, we made sure to incorporate some of the great props Will was able to bring from Nolan’s Drug store.  A second generation pharmacist, who works at Nolan’s, I love how it was Brynne’s idea to incorporate these props in honour of Will and Dylan’s grandma.
