I was so honoured that baby Luken and his family travelled to see me, making this the first time I’ve been a Cherryville Newborn Photographer. He has set the bar pretty high for all newborns from Cherryville as not only was a perfectly sleepy baby and loved going into almost any pose we tried, but he finished the session off with a round of smiles, unlike I usually see in someone so little. He wouldn’t stop smiling!
When I first met him, I told mom that he looked like an old soul-his facial features weren’t that of a newborn, so I think his smiles fit the old soul theory perfectly 🙂
There was so much to love about this session, I don’t know where to start.
Older sister Clara, although a little leary of me at first handled her part of the session really well. 18 month olds, have a lot to adjust to when a sibling is brought into the mix and she did so incredibly well.
Grandma Sharon also was able to join us and not only did she help play with Clara while we worked with little Luken but we were able to capture some wonderful images of her with her grand babies.
I also loved learning from her that the original owner and benefactor of the Caetani Centre to the city of Vernon (where my studio resides), Ms Sveva Caetani, was once Sharon’s art teacher in Lumby! I had known Sveva had taught at Charles Bloom but I thought it so special that Sharon was now in Sveva’s old studio, watching her grandson being photographed. I am sure it made Sveva smile!
It was a wonderful morning in the studio and Mr. Luken already has quite the personality. Maybe that’s because his name means “wolf” in German.
Congratulations Matt and Meghan on the arrival of your little man, making you a beautiful family of four!
