Family Photography in Vernon, where I have worked with the family in the past, is one of my favourite sessions!  With this beautiful family, it was the fourth time working with them, but it was very special in the fact that it was the first time I captured the adorable little Miss Kamryn, or Kamy for short.

Little Miss Kamy was turning one and what better way to celebrate than to combine it with some lovely family images as well.

Ken, is a volunteer firefighter at the Coldstream Fire Hall, so Cassandra thought it would be a great location to start and I totally agree.  Felt pretty cool to be the only ones there playing with the big truck! Such a unique family portrait experience and so fitting to their family!

With little ones, I didn’t want to take them too far from the station, so we went to the always pretty Coldstream Creek Park.  We couldn’t really use the creek bank that I have in the past because of the unusually high and unsafe water levels right now, but there were some gorgeous buttercups and I always love the gravel, and treed road getting into the park.

Big sister Sydney was one of my favourite toddlers ever to photograph (she was also the star of her mom and dad’s maternity session a number of years ago and her newborn session as well) and a year later, she is still as adorable as always!

Miss Kamy was so sweet in her interactions with everyone, and I absolutely adored capturing her one year birthday photos!  It’s not every day you get a bunch of helium balloons to play with!  Hope you had a wonderful birthday celebrating you!
