As a Vernon & Kelowna Baby Photographer, I am always super excited when one of my newborns visits me again for their one year baby session.

Miss Payton was one of the sweetest newborns I have photographed.  I literally wanted to keep her the day of her session.  She was a stunner!  A big head of hair, amazing eyelashes, and super chubby cheeks. I couldn’t stop fawning over her.   Here she is a year ago:

And here is Miss Payton today!!!

As you can see she is still the cutest baby ever!

Mom and I had lots of plans for Miss Payton’s one year session.  Her two older sisters couldn’t make her newborn session because of school, nor could Miss Payton’s grandmas, so they had to make an appearance.  We also wanted to capture some of Payton’s fun and expressive personality so of course we had to add a few fun outfits, fun props and it was a must to top it off with a cake smash.

The wonderful cake came from the Frosted Kitchen here in Vernon and was the perfect accent to the final stage of our photos.  You never know how messy a little one is going to get so we always leave  it the end of the session.  For Miss Payton, she was so sure of the whole process.  If she could have talked she probably would have said “You want me to do what?  You want me to eat that?!?!?”  It took A LOT of coaxing, but it the end, we got some adorable images of her digging in.  Thank goodness because mom really wanted some cute images of a cake smash.

Clint and Shadia.  You have one gorgeous baby girl.  Give her a big hug for me!  Can’t wait to see your gorgeous family soon for some fall, family images.
