As a Kelowna Maternity Photographer there is no occasion more joyous than meeting someone waiting to meet their little person.
Annie is one of those pregnant ladies that exudes a a joyful radiance as she waits to meet baby number two. She is beyond beautiful and every outfit that she changed into looked incredible on her!
Annie came with quite the entourage including her handsome husband Nick and her parents, who had just flown over from China for the upcoming birth. Miss Olivia, soon to be a big sister, was at pre-school but I look forward to meeting her at the newborn session.
Annie regretted not having maternity portraits taken when she was pregnant with Olivia and I am so thankful she worked with me. I feel very strongly that this time in a woman’s life is so special and needs to be beautifully captured.
The light was soft and overcast at Mission Creek Parkway and Annie was a real trouper in the cold. We carefully wrapped her up in between set ups and thankfully she had her own internal heater! Her family was doting on her. It was so beautiful to watch.
When I leave a maternity session, it is always a mix of emotions as I know how the families life is going to be so different the next time I meet them. I always anxiously wait to hear the news that he or she has arrived.
And I excitedly got that email yesterday!
It’s a good thing we created these beautiful maternity portraits when we did because little Oscar couldn’t wait to meet big sister Olivia and the rest of his new family! He wanted to get here sooner than later!
I can’t wait to meet you soon Oscar!
