Kelowna Maternity Photos with Baby Bliss Photography

As a Kelowna Photographer who specializes in Kelowna Maternity Photos, it is always such a joyous time to meet a couple who quickly approaching one of the most exciting time of their lives.  Meeting their little one!

When we are all done our maternity portrait session, and I say goodbye to my clients, it always hits all of us, that the next time we are together; they will have welcomed their little boy or girl.  It is such an emotional, exhilarating and joyous moment.

I first met this beautiful couple, Kristyn & Darren through email.  I was thrilled that their schedule allowed us to capture some of the beautiful balsam arrow root flowers that are currently blooming all over the Okanagan Valley. I LOVE them!

Kristyn is from Ontario and Darren is originally from Newfoundland.  They met while both attending Western University in Ontario. One pub crawl later, the rest is history! Darren had already been living in Kelowna and convinced his love to move back to Kelowna with him

They were married in Mexico, having friends and family fly in from all over Canada and now family will be descending in the next few weeks to meet baby boy or girl!

Kristyn is a teacher, and as of our session on May 1st, she still was working! I was super impressed.

We chose picturesque Knox Mountain above Kelowna for our stunning location for two reasons. One is the beautiful balsam root flowers that are blooming but most importantly it is a special location for the beautiful couple. They were engaged there and have climbed it’s routes many times.

They had one special location in mind to finish off our session; one that I hadn’t used before.

Although a bit of a walk (I was worried it might induce labour!) it was breathtaking. It had incredible views of Okanagan Lake and it will definitely not be the last time I go there. Thanks for introducing me to such a special spot.

I can’t wait to get that exciting email or text that your little one has arrived Kristyn and Darren!!!!
