As a Kelowna newborn photographer, it’s not often that I get to photograph the newborn of a really dear friend so I was super excited when my friend Tara announced she was expecting. Even though they lived on Vancouver Island, I was going to get to be their photographer because they were coming up to attend a Wedding in Kelowna. It was perfect timing as little Cooper was only 18 days old. It was also serendiptious that I was in Victoria in the final few months of Tara’s pregnancy so I got to do her maternity images too! You may remember how radiant Tara looked being pregnant, but in case you missed the blog, please check it out. I never knew it was possible to stylize a maternity session from Forever 21. Only Tara could pull that off! Being 18 days old, I was a little worried Cooper wouldn’t sleep, or pose, as easily as my younger babies but he was a rockstar. He even made sure to give a smile when in mommy or daddy’s arms. Daddy loves to fly and so making Cooper daddy’s little co-piolot, was at the top of Tara’s list of must have images. I gave Tara some ideas and the next thing you know, she was texting me some images of a plane that was being built for the session. Lovingly created by his grandfather, Cooper arrived with his own airplane! It doesn’t get much cooler than that. The awesome hat was created by Pretty Persnickety Creations here in Vernon.
