As a Kelowna Photographer but someone who lives in Vernon, I never know how my clients discovered my work. Did they do a google search for a Kelowna Family Photographer, did a friend refer them, or are they friends on facebook with one of my clients?
When Emily and I first met, we had our two little girls in swimming lessons. We had our pleasantries but later on, after lessons were over, we ran into each other a number of times.
Then, a few months ago, I received an email from Emily. She mentioned how she had been eagerly wanting to commission me to take some family portraits. She and her husband had a new baby since I last saw her and she was also going to have her brother and his family visiting from Massachusetts. Making his way with his small family to Kelowna unfortunately didn’t happen all that often. It was a rare chance to get great grandma, grandparents, siblings, spouses and children all together for an extended family session.
Emily’s parents, Milt and Jane have some exquisite property in Kelowna and it was the perfect location for everyone to gather.
As we only had one evening that worked with everyone’s travel itineraries, I was super worried whether the weather would cooperate and thankfully we had beautiful overcast skies!
Even with two children under a year, little ones with jet lag and a whole lot of photo requests from yours truly, everyone did so well!
Even great grandma was able to make it for a few of the images!
Thanks so much everyone for inviting me to your family reunion to capture some beautiful Kelowna Family Portraits.
I hope you cherish them for years to come!

What a beautiful family session and super cute kiddos.
WOW! What a gift to have them all there for a family portrait. That’s a treasure for sure.
