I first met Rachel and her beautiful daughter Natalie as a Kelowna Photographer when she was about 6 months old.

Little Natalie had a rather unconventional birth story.  At 24.2 weeks pregnant, Rachel went into labour.  A labour that quickly got her air ambulance to Vancouver where her team of doctors desperately tried to stop little Natalie from being born.

Apparently little Natalie had different plans.  She wanted to meet her mommy and daddy so badly that she just couldn’t wait any longer.

Spending 105 days in Vancouvers incredible Woman’s Hospital NICU and Kelowna’s, NICU for 28 days; this little champion defied everyone’s expectations for her.  

I was recently telling another client about Natalie as an inspirational story for her own pregnancy as they are worried their little one may come early. She was so encouraged by Natalie’s amazing story. She’s a little super hero!

Since I first photographed her in of 2018, I have seen Natalie at Santa Portraits and now for these beautiful spring apple blossom portraits.

I finally got to meet daddy Scott too so it was lovely to have the whole family in front of the camera.

The apple blossoms come for only a few days per year and I was thrilled that it worked for Natalie’s family to join me. Natalie was feeling a bit sleepy for the portraits (she must be going through a growth spurt) but with a little encouragement and games of peek a boo we got the smiles that every parent longs for.

I can’t wait to see all of you again in September for some fall family portraits. You such a beautiful family and your joy and love for each other radiates through out your portraits

Natalie, you are such a little cutie and I can’t wait to see you in the fall!
