When I created Lindsay and Reid’s maternity portraits at Mission Creek Park way there wasn’t any snow yet. Winter was coming, and Lindsay did have to brave the cold to show off her beautiful bump. We left each other in the parking lot knowing the next time I saw them, their little boy would be here. He was already loved so much.
Reid and Lindsay are one of those couples that when you first meet them (as I did for their beautiful maternity portraits) you fall in love with their kind and gentle hearts. They are always so warm and exude a genuine joy. They are so lovely to be around.
Now, with little Tanner in their arms, the love they had for him was radiating out of every smile and every glance. They couldn’t stop looking at their little boy.
They were staring at perfection.
Although neither of them had much pre-baby experience with a newborn, they seem like naturals. I was super impressed. I don’t think as a new mom I had nearly as much natural ease around a newborn baby as they do. I loved watching Reid burp him, change his diapers and jump into any situation that arose.
Little Tanner LOVED curling up for me. He was so great at the poses we created and he flowed quite easily from one to another. Even difficult outfit changes didn’t seem to bother him much and he left me with very little dirty laundry to contend with. Thanks buddy!
Reid and Lindsay, you make a beautiful family of three and I am honoured you entrusted me to capture your newborn portraits.
