For this Okanagan Photographer, there is nothing sweeter than getting to know an Okanagan family as they anxiously await their little baby girl!

Hannah contacted me a number of months ago, excited for the journey she and Clayton were on.    She had lots of ideas for both the maternity session and newborn portraits and we had fun incorporating her vision.   Self employed, Clayton’s schedule was somewhat flexible, but Hannah is a nurse so scheduling their session around the fall colours took a little planning.  We even had a back up day in case our first date was raining.

Scheduled to have her makeup professionally done through MAC in Kelowna, I was worried about what the weather would hold for our session.  Weather reports kept fluctuating between, rain, sun and even snow at one point, but mother nature blessed us with a beautiful evening of gorgeous light and autumn leaves!

The fall colours are in full display and it was so beautiful to capture this gorgeous couple  with so many beautiful leaves in the background. 

Sovereign Park, on Kal Lake was our perfect location.  We were even amazed to see a beautiful family of deer.  A stag, two yearlings born in the spring and their momma.  They took little interest in us and seemed to want to hang around the excitement.

Mr. Milo, their adorable rescue dog from California even graced us with his cuteness.  He didn’t seen too keen to have his portrait taken however and I think he wished to rather be running around the park looking for the deer.

Hannah and Clayton; I am beyond excited that the next time I see you, you will be a beautiful family of three!  I can’t wait to meet your little girl!!!
