As a Salmon Arm Maternity Photographer, I feel incredibly blessed to have clients who encourage me beyond words when they refer their friends to me.   The Togado family have been amazing clients of mine for the past few years and just recently at their newborn session of baby Richella; they mentioned their friends Kara and Ty were also expecting and wanted to commission me to be their maternity and newborn photographer too. Kara contacted me a few days later and we set a date!

We had a perfectly gorgeous day for our session. It started off rather questionable as Salmon Arm received a lot more snow the night before than we did and Kara was worried if the roads here would be okay. Luckily shortly into their drive, the weather cleared and they were able to meet me as planned.

With the crazy amount of snow we still have for March, I choose the BX Ranch dog park as I knew the trees and shrubs would have a beautiful dusting of new snow and I absolutely love the light and trees there.

Little Hunter, Ty and Kara’s adorable 18 month old, was a little unsure of having his image taken, but we were super fortunate to get some adorable smiles out of him. He’s really attached to mom and dad (is there anything sweeter than a mommy or daddy’s boy?) so we weren’t able to work with just Ty and Kara but we look forward to getting some of those images at the newborn session.

Thanks Kara and Ty for making the drive to see me and for entrusting my vision for your session. I can’t wait to meet your little one in just over a month! What a beautiful and perfect family you have and she will bring so much additional joy!
