As a Kelowna and Vernon Family Photographer, I have the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful families!  Dawn, the beautiful mom of this beautiful family, and only ever chatted on the phone or through email.  We had originally thought we would meet in the Okanagan, but when I went to Calgary last week to attend a newborn photography workshop with the amazing and talented Amy McDaniels of Dewdrops Photography, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to finally meet and do their family photos.

Having just moved into a brand new house, Dawn thought it would be the perfect opportunity to hang some beautiful artwork of their family on the walls.  I couldn’t agree more!  I am still embarrassed to say that even being a full time photographer, and  having a tonnes of gorgeous images of my children, we as a family don’t have images on our walls!  I can’t wait to hear what Dawn does with her images!  It will make their new place feel like a home.

I didn’t have a lot of time between the end of my session with Amy (we met in the gorgeous home studio of Dulce Baby Photography-thanks for hosting Martha!) and my flight home that evening.  With Calgary being such a big city I was worried Dawn and her family would be too far away but it ended up her place was about a 10 minute drive from where I was staying, and right between us was Confederation Park.  It was the perfect setting!  We were also super blessed to have a clear and sunny night as the week proceeding, Calgary had been struck by a sting of very nasty weather.

Dawn, I am so glad I finally got to meet you and I hope these images reflect all the love and joy your family has for one another!
