This Vernon Family Photographer is at a loss of words over this beautiful family.

When mom, Danielle first emailed me, she was requesting information on a session for her two year old daughter.  Danielle, her husband and daughter Ellie were going to be in Vernon to visit family.  Visiting from Edmonton, we had only about a week to schedule the session, and because, evening weather isn’t always predictable we wanted to schedule the session sooner in their week, rather than later, in case the weather didn’t cooperate.

Danielle also wasn’t sure how Ellie would nap at grandma’s house and we wanted a happy girl for our session.

Thankfully, on our chosen night, we had a gorgeous warm night and Ellie had had a good two hour nap.

Ellie however, had different ideas for her session.  Suffering from a little cold, she wasn’t all that thrilled to get in front of the camera for a stranger.  And I totally get it!  The great thing was, none of us gave up.  None of us threw in the towel.  We came armed with a bubble gun (BRILLIANT SAVE MOM), little tricks and fun props and in the end we got the images of this sweet little girl that we all so desperately wanted.

And speaking of never giving up, this little girl, Ellie’s name should mean “she who perseveres, and never gives up”.  Without telling too much of her story, let’s just say Miss Ellie is one amazing little girl.  She is a little angel placed her on earth with insurmountable odds, who keeps fighting and celebrating big milestones.
