When Emily booked me last year to be her son’s  Vernon newborn photographer, she asked right away if she could bundle a family session with it, so I could also be their Vernon Family Photographer too.  I often bundle Maternity Sessions with Newborn Sessions, but she didn’t want that.  She wanted another session when little Owen turned one,  and I was more than happy to get the family together again for these images. I was super excited to see how much Owen had changed since his last session, and even big brother Sam, was so much more grown up.  He LOVES his role of big brother and was so kind and sweet to little Owen.

I have grown up at the base of Silver Star Mountain my whole life, but it wasn’t till my husband and I had our seven year anniversary in August, did I venture up there in the summer.  It was always a winter destination for me….and now I can’t get enough of it’s gogeous vistas, views and amazing array of different areas to photograph my clients.

My son had been up to Brewer’s Pond earlier in the day with a friend (catching AND releasing baby frogs) and it sounded like a great place for our session.

I’ve used the pond and the area surrounding it for a number of Winter Weddings, but again, had never used it for a family session in the summer.  WOW…was I ever excited to use this scenic backdrop.  It is spectacular!  We also lucked out with a warm but cloudy day and it was the perfect conditions for this session.
