Vernon Family Photography allows me to often work with clients I first met for another type of session. I first met the incredibly gorgeous and lovely Roux family two years ago when their son Joah was born and we did his Vernon newborn photography session. His big sister Kara was so much littler then too and it was so wonderful to capture them all again!
Karin had actually wanted to do apple blossom family portraits last year, and with last years warm weather, the blossoms came early and sadly I was away. We only have a very small window (a few days in fact) to use the orchard for such stunning images so anyone who would like them, has to be on a bit of a waiting game as to which day will work. This year they came a full week late with the cooler weather so Karin and I were doing a lot of back and forth emailing and texting as to what evening may work. Thankfully, it all came together! Including Dani’s mother being here all the way from South Africa! She was also here for Joah’s newborn session so I feel very fortunate to always have her here for such important sessions.
The evening of our session was absolutely perfect. Kara LOVED being in front of the camera (seriously; how cute is she!) and Joah had a blast running and kicking his ball throughout the orchard. I feel so fortunate to live right next to this gorgeous old growth orchard that my clients and I can take advantage of. Sadly, most orchardists are moving away from these types of orchards, for the much smaller and shorter ones, and I will be sad when there won’t be any old growth ones anymore. They make for such a gorgeous backdrop.
Love seeing you as always Roux family!
