As a Vernon Maternity Photographer, I love when families grow to add a new little bundle. I first met Anna, Justin and little Daniel, when Anna & Justin were pregnant with Daniel and wanted to do a maternity session. That was almost three years ago. The last time I saw Daniel he was a few weeks old and at his newborn session! I was thrilled when Anna contacted me saying they were expecting their second little boy.

Daniel has grown into a such a sweet and handsome little man. His two very important friends, Mickey Mouse and Baby Mickey came for the journey up Turtle Mountain. And although not in any of the images, they were always close at hand; keeping a watchful eye.

A gorgeous but blustery day, the daylight savings had just happened so we had to start our session around 2:30, just after Daniel’s nap. We wanted to make sure we had enough daylight. The time of day was perfect for some gorgeous, backlight, silhouette images and that soft light as the sun dips lower on the horizon.

I can’t wait to see Daniel again at the newborn session with his new little brother. There is something very magical about a three year old and their new sibling. They are at the age where they understand and take on the role of older brother very well and are always so keen to pose in those gorgeous sibling images we all love so much.

Anna and Justin. I am absolutely thrilled for you and can not wait to meet your newest little man. You are so blessed! Thanks for making the hike up Turtle Mountain so fun-even with all the barrel cactus that chose to join us! Seriously. I have never seen so many unwanted guests attached to my shoes!
