As a Vernon Newborn Photographer, I love being inspired by the families hobbies or interests.  Whether it be a love for the great outdoors, sports, or in this case Harley Davidson, it is so fun to incorporate it in the sessions I photograph.

When mom Bethany first was in touch with me, she asked if dads’ Harley Davidson boots and helmet could come to the studio.  I of course jumped at the chance but quickly asked if they would also be interested in incorporating the real deal.  The bike itself.  A few minutes later I got a text with the two bikes sitting in their garage.  One was dads and one was grandpas.  This was going to be fun!

We decided to split the session in two.  One, two hour session in the studio and another evening with the bikes.

I scoped out a great look out, over looking Vernon, not far from their home.  The Gray Canal.  The light was soft and perfect.  Big sister Mya also made another appearance and I knew from working with her in the studio, she too would love jumping in some of the images.

It was important to get little Carter on both grandpas’ bike and dads so we made sure to set the bikes up first, keeping in mind we wanted to move little Carter as little as possible once he was positioned.

**It is important to note that although you can’t see him (photoshop was also used), dad was behind the bikes the whole time and there was always a hand on little Carter so he was safe and secure. **

Little Carter is destined to ride a Harley.  I hope he smiles one day when he looks back on these images.
