Handsome little Nathan (Nate affectionately called by his parents) was a dream for this Vernon Newborn Photographer to work with.

A first child for mom Jodi, and dad James; you could see the love radiating off these new parents for their little man.

I love that special time during a session, where the new moms and dads are sitting, (hopefully relaxing for the first time in weeks!) watching me work my magic with their babe, and marveling at how amazing their new little one is.  I often see moms and dads start to tear up, watching how adorable he or she looks all curled up and posed and reflecting on how blessed they are to have their new arrival.

There were extra oohs and aahs with Nate’s session when he was all bundled up in his little teddy bear cocoon. When mom picked the outfit out, dad wasn’t so sure he’d like it but Nate’s cuteness won dad over!  He’s the cutest little teddy bear I’ve ever seen!

He was also a rock star sleeper, and for a three week old babe, that is really amazing.  He loved curling up too and was a dream to pose.

My favorite images however have to be of Jodi, James and little Nate.  I love when first time moms and dads agree to family and individual images.  I feel it captures so much raw love, emotion and beauty and creates images they will treasure a lifetime.  They are only so little for such a short period of time, that capturing such a fleeting moment is something I am honored to be a part of.
