This Vernon Newborn Photographer has been very anxiously awaiting the arrival of little Miss Rosalyn.  I met her wonderful family a number of years ago and since meeting them have photographed maternity photos for her older brother, newborn photos of handsome Jerome and mommy and daddy’s Wedding….of which I was one of two people in attendance.  Talk about an honour!

Before Rosalyn was born, big brother Jerome was in swimming lessons with my youngest, Ava and so we’ve all been chatting about whether Jerome was going to be a big brother to a sister or brother.  We were ecstatic when we heard baby was here safe and sound and was a little girl!

When we met at the studio, I couldn’t believe how much she looked like Jerome….albeit with more hair.  They looked so much a like as newborns when I did his newborn session two years ago!  The resemblance is striking!

In choosing what poses and props I was going to do, I choose some similar set ups and colours to that of Jerome’s newborn session.   Mommy and daddy display so many of the images I have captured for them in their home (I LOVE that!) and so I wanted them to have some with Rosalyn with a complimentary feel and style.

Miss Rosalyn totally rocked her session.  She was just about a month old, (as I and my family had been away in Asia while she was born) but handled the poses and sleep required just like many of my under two week old babies.  I also loved that she had some lovely little rolls starting, something you don’t often see with the newer babes!  Such a cutie!  She also made sure to give me a wonderful smile for the first frame I captured.  She’s a pro I tell you!

Thank you Michael and Cynthia for once again allowing me to capture such a joyous time in your families life!  I am so honoured to be your photographer!
