Handsome little Sage was a perfect little man for his Vernon Newborn Photography session!

I first met Sage’s grandmother Jan, when she purchased one of my donated family sessions at this past August’s Splash of Red charity auction.  I have had my Vernon newborn photography studio at the Caetani Cultural Centre for about the past 6 years.  I absolutely love my historic little studio and every year, there is an amazing art auction that I donate a few of my collections to.   The Splash of Red auction raises money for the Caetani house so that is can carry out it’s creative mission.  To provide a venue for visual artists and writers from around Canada and the world to explore a diverse range of art practices and experiences.  They are desperately trying to open the house to the public and hopefully with one more auction next year, they will have the monies to make the dream a reality!

At the time, I didn’t know Jan had a grandbaby coming so it was a perfect way to get her, baby Sage and her son and daughter in law in the studio.

Cathy and Cory own the Monashee Adventure Group or MAG for short.  Located up at Silver Star Mountain resort,  they run an amazing adventure company that focuses on both winter and summer activities.  Having a great love for the outdoors, they wanted to incorporate a number of elements in their session.  It was so fun playing around with new props and seeing new ways of posing little Sage with them.

He was such a great little man to work with and I especially loved the little family portraits we did.  Cory and Cathy are so enamored with their little man.

Congratulations Cory and Cathy with the arrival of Sage.  You make a beautiful family of three.  I can only imagine how much the three of you will have on all your outdoor adventures!
