As a Vernon Photographer who specializes in family, maternity and newborn photography, when my client Aimee contacted me about photographing her at the Bloom Sunflower festival in Armstrong, my heart skipped a beat.  I knew it was going to be a beautiful backdrop, but I didn’t know HOW beautiful the whole evening would be.

Visiting the area from Alberta, Aimee told me how she had been dreaming about this session.  Her sunflower tattoo even seemed to say that we were meant to be there!  It was opening night and I was pleasantly surprised that we weren’t battling the crowds.  We had no problem finding a quiet place to work.

Aimee ROCKED my new wine coloured body suit gown and it was such a stunning colour against the bright yellow flowers.  As we wound our way along the path ways, other visitors kept commenting on how incredible she looked in the gown too.

Changing for the last part of the evening, I love the simplicity of the white gown against the the beautiful scenery and fading light. It took a bit to get a sunflower for the last few portraits too (they are rather tough to cut) but was such a pretty accent.

Aimee shared with me that even though her husband couldn’t be with her on her vacation, it was important that she document this exciting stage in their life with professional portraits.  They hadn’t always done that in their lives and she knew how important it was to hire a professional photographer.

I am so glad she found me!  It was a magical night!!!
