As a Vernon Photographer there are a lot of ways I can have an introduction to a family. Sometimes I meet them for the first time for a maternity session, with the next exciting session of photographing their newborn. Other times, I meet them to celebrate a special event in their families life. A family reunion where they want to celebrate with some family portraits. Other times I meet a family during Santa Portraits and they become clients in the Baby Bliss Photography studio.
For this adorable man, celebrating his first birthday, we met this year at Santa Portraits. His big brother Malcolm, had seen us before but mom was expecting last year so it was Andrew’s first meeting of the big guy. He was all smiles and when mom contacted me for his first birthday portraits, I knew we’d have a sweet little celebration on our hands.
Mom was thankful I had some studio wardrobes she could borrow, so all she had to do was NOT drop the cake that she brought (moms are always worried about that!) and we were good to go!
For most cake smashes, most babies are quite hesitant. If they do end up trying the cake, most aren’t quite sure what to do with the sweet taste, but little Andrew was raring to go! Mom had done a practice run with him and it clearly paid off 🙂
With little encouragement from us, he tore right into it and enjoyed as much as he could get before we cut him off. No one wants a tummy ache after a fun portrait session.
I loved the naked cake and our simple backdrop. It made Andrew the star of the show.
Every star needs a bath afterwards and he had a blast playing in the bubbles!
Thanks for sharing your adorable little man with me!
