As a Vernon Photographer, I was over the moon excited to meet Lisa and Andy’s little boy. The last time I saw them, was last August when my family and I were visiting them in their hometown of Revelstoke. Our family loves Revelstoke (my grandparents lived their and I spent many occasions visiting them in the historic and beautiful mountain town) and so last summer we decided to spend a weekend there. It was my husbands and I wedding anniversary as well, and Lisa and Andy were kind enough to babysit our two kids so we could go out for dinner. My kids loved playing with their adorable daughter Sky.
When they announced they were adding to their family, I was thrilled for them.
Luckily, baby River was born just as some of the COVID 19 restrictions were lifting and Andy got to be in the delivery room with Lisa. It also meant I got to meet River much sooner than many of the much older babies I have been seeing as of late.
The portraits of River and his big sister absolutely melt my heart. She was so attentive and enthralled with him. As there isn’t a huge age gap between the two of them, I was worried Sky may not want to be in as many portraits as she did. She was so good! And so happy!
Snowboarding is a big part of this families life and so to honour that we had to use Andy’s snowboard gear. Lisa had gotten her turn with Sky’s newborn session so it’s a good thing they added to their family 😉
Andy and Lisa, you make a beautiful family of four and I am honoured you have invited me into your lives for so many wonderful portrait sessions.
