As a Vernon Photographer, I adore working with families in the snowy Okanagan Valley.  Winter is so beautiful here and we couldn’t have picked a better day for our Kalamalka Provincial Park portrait session!

Katie and Katlin’s love story is all about a boy from the East Coast and a girl from the West.  They settled in together in Calgary and after the exciting news that they were having a baby girl, they moved to Vernon for a quieter lifestyle.  Newer to Vernon, Katie and Katlin hadn’t explored Kal Park much and I knew it would be a perfect backdrop for their session!

The day was absolutely perfect.  It was mild and sunny and then, as if by magic, beautiful clouds rolled in to give the gorgeous light I wanted for the view of the lake.  It was a long walk with a stroller so thanks Katlin for taking one for the team!  It was so worth it!

Adorable Bianca was definitely the star of the day, and although she hadn’t napped as much as mommy and daddy had hoped for (we always love a happy baby) she was a delight to photograph.  She was especially happiest when she was in mommy or daddy’s arms!  Seriously…look at those smiles and giggles!  Such a sweet little girl.

Katie’s mom Lillian, and sister Robyn, also made the drive into Vernon from Kelowna and West Kelowna to be a part of the session and I am so glad to have met them.  It was so special capturing Katie with her mom and sister.  I LOVE the images of them all giggling.  There was so much joy!
