As a Vernon Photographer who specializes in Weddings and all things Family (Newborn, Maternity, Children and Families) it is always so honouring when a new family introduces themselves to me.

In the case of little Brixon, mom Kelsey found me online and reached out to me in February as her and Byron excitedly awaited their first arrival.  They had seen my work online and it resonated with what they envisioned for their own session.

Little Brixon  (mom and dad knew of a few Brixtons’ but wanted a unique name for their special little man) didn’t have to drive far to the studio but was still fast asleep when he arrived.  So sleepy in fact that I knew, right at the start of the session, we would do the more difficult froggy pose.  Dad was a great assistant for this “composite” pose (there were hands on Brixon the entire time to make sure he was posed safely) and he then transitioned beautifully into every pose after that!

I absolutely adore the different outfits and colours mom and dad picked out and I especially love how many family images we did.  Byron actually had to leave work for this newborn session and I was so thankful he did.  He was so in awe of his little man through out the time we spent together and he kept making such loving remarks about his boy.  He is one proud papa!

Brixon even graced us with a few little smiles.  He was the perfect little model!
