As a Vernon Photographer, having been photographing families for over 11 years, Bridgette and her extended family were a first for me.

Although I have had bride and grooms book me more than a year in advance of their big day,  I have never had a family book me more than a year in advance; until Bridgette and her family.

Last fall, Bridgette booked me for this fall season.   None of the dates last year that worked with the gorgeous fall colours, were either booked or didn’t work for all of them.

So a year in advance, we had their lovely family on my calendar.

Having met Bridgette a number of years ago through Wedded Bliss Photography, booking a family portrait session with me was something her family had wanted to do for a number of years.

I am so glad we finally managed everyone’s schedules and had a beautiful family fall portrait session with them!

The weather was a gorgeous overcast sky with threatening rain, but thankfully it held off and we had perfect lighting.

The fall colours haven’t quite popped yet in many parts of Vernon.  Usually the colours are more advanced this time in October but I think the extra hot and dry summer have stunted them a bit.

Thankfully one of my favorite locations for fall portraits have started it’s beautiful transformation.  It always amazes me with it’s beautiful display of color.  I also absolutely love the historic old barn.

It was so fantastic working with each of the couples.  Mom and dad, are still madly in love after more than 30 years. Their son Spencer and his wife Tiffany are expecting their first baby in the next few weeks; and Bridgette and Josh haven’t had any portraits taken since they were married a number of years ago.  I’m so glad I was able to capture all of the joy your family exudes!
