As a Vernon Photographer, specializing in Vernon Newborn Photography, I love working with new clients!

Even though Carissa and her husband have a young toddler who keeps them super busy; Carissa is one of those moms that took a lot of time to organize her new son’s prop collection before his newborn session.

Months before he was born, Carissa found patterns for her mom to crochet and she managed to have at least 7 different outfits made!  Well done Grandma…that is no small feat!

Carissa then not only emailed me detailed descriptions and photos of the props ahead of time, but the morning of his session; we talked about each one and the significance of each.

Paying homage to her husbands home country of Argentina was super important.  Carissa made sure to incorporate the colours of the Argentinian flag and their passion for soccer.  Those images were a must as they would be going to his family who still live there!

Little Amadeo handled his session like a pro.  Although there were lots of outfit changes for this burgeoning newborn baby model; he settled quickly and slept peacefully through them all.

It was a real team effort getting everyone to the studio for the session and I am so thankful daddy to came help his sweet little girl and that auntie came to support mommy 🙂

There is so much love for this little man and I loved hearing how he got his name.  As Carissa told me,  there had been a long standing discussion/joke amongst her and her husband as to the correct lyrics to “Rock me Amadeus”.  She confessed she had mistakingly had them wrong for a number of years and always thought they were saying “Amadeo”.  Clearly she liked her version better and thus became a new little Amadeo in the world 🙂

What a beautiful family you have!
