As a Vernon Photographer, I LOVE when my clients request a Christmas session.  They are SO much fun.  But when I get my own children in front of my camera for a mini Christmas session…it’s overwhelming how much I love them.  I can’t stop looking at my own children’s images and marveling how blessed I am to be their mother.  And how fortunate I am to passionately love a job that also has the added perk of creating heirloom images for my children.   When I ever I photograph a Wedding where the bride and groom choose to do a slideshow of themselves growing up I think of the crazy slideshow my children could have one day.  They one set of well documented kiddos!

For those of you who don’t know, my husband and I are fortunate to live next door to my parents.  Some wouldn’t see it as a blessing, but thankfully my parents are fantastic neighbors and my dad has the coolest collection of antiques, old memorabilia and some amazing old buildings adorn their property…including the beautiful log cabin that I photographed in the background.  Any image I create with some cool artifact in it….usually has come from my dad!  The log cabin has only been on my parents property for a few years but it has taken my dad a good thirty years to realize his dream of actually having one.  I am so thankful to be able to use it for such cool sessions!  Thanks dad!!!  xoxo

My son Jack, and my daughter Ava, are visiting Santa tomorrow.    Ava is asking for a tea set and Jack is asking for a Hotwheels set.  They are so excited for Christmas and creating images like these gets me excited too.  May we all feel the magic, love and joy of the session….just like the little children.
