As a Kelowna Photographer who specializes in baby portraits, I was delighted to meet Angela and her darling little girl Celine.

My first contact with Angela was over the phone. She called me to enquire about the possibility of me coming to their beautiful home in Kelowna.  

They were planning a 100 day celebration for their new baby and they need some portraits of their beautiful daughter to be on display for her big party.

A 100 day celebration is an important traditional ceremony in Korean and Chinese culture.  It represents the wish that the baby will live 100 years, and it makes the end of the first three months of life for a new baby-the end of the fourth trimester.

Items for the party were already starting to be evident around the home when I arrived, and with the help of an event planner, I know the celebration is going to be momentous.

I can’t wait to hear about all the exciting details!

When I arrived, little Miss Celine hadn’t had the usual nap she typically does so we weren’t sure how she was going to feel about our baby portrait session.

Angela told me she is a rather serious baby, so we didn’t get exuberant smiles, but she was very peaceful and content most of the time.  She did great.  Especially her tummy time portraits.  She is a strong little girl and loved showing me how she could lift her head!

The colour theme of her party is pink and white so we made sure to use my beautiful pink backdrop for many of the portraits and then had fun playing dress up.

Celine, you are SO loved and I know everyone will love celebrating the precious blessing you have been to your family!  Happy 100 day celebration!
