As a Vernon Family Photographer, nothing makes me happier than getting outside to capture a gorgeous family against an equally gorgeous backdrop.

In Vernon, we are blessed with an abundance of beautiful scenery to choose from, but one landmark, Kalamalka Lake, is of particular beauty. It was recently named one of National Geographic’s 10 Most Beautiful Lakes in the world and it is not hard to see why. With it’s aqua marine colours and ribbons of dark blue, it is truly spectacular.

The gorgeous family I captured during my recent Kalamalka Lake session was the Spitzer Family. I have been lucky to know this family for a number of years as some of their wonderful children go to my children’s school, P.V.C.A.

As a past music teacher I still volunteer at the school, so I have loved teaching three of their children. Now to work with them capturing these beautiful portraits, was really special.

Their family exudes joy and kindness and it was so special to meet their oldest daughter, son in law and adorable grand baby who were visiting from the lower mainland.

The mom, Olga, has recently been honoured by the company doTerra, for her incredible work within the company and these portraits were actually commissioned by them. They will be part of a special magazine the company is putting together and the Spitzer Family is to be featured in it. I can’t wait to see them included!

I knew working with this family would be a lot of fun, but I also enjoyed watching how they interacted with each other in such a loving and joyful way. I think you would agree that the love they have for each other oozes out from each portrait.
