This Vernon Maternity Photographer has photographed a lot of gorgeous couples and Winnie and Rob are no exception. With their first little man, due in May, we spent last Sunday basking in the glory of the sun…and wind….oh the wind….that the Okanagan Valley is so famous for. It was a picture perfect day for their maternity session and we had so much fun getting to know each other as I captured this exciting time in their lives.
We decided the wind, although annoying in the fact that it gave Winnie’s gorgeous hair (having just been stylized at Chatters) a mind of it’s own, added an element of movement to the session. It also made us feel like we were on some gorgeous bluff above the Pacific Ocean in Hawaii 🙂
Winnie and Rob own Famous Yans (a fabulous Chinese restuarant) in Salmon Arm, and I was honoured they would travel to work with me. It’s very difficult for them to get time away from work, so I knew everything HAD to go as planned.
As mentioned, Winnie’s gorgeous hair (all her own!) was stylized at Chatter’s and her makeup was done by the incredible Jessie Voss (Makeup by Jessie). I recently did a post about her services, on my Wedded Bliss Photography website, so if you’re looking for a GREAT makeup artist, please check it out.
Winnie looked GORGEOUS in everything she wore and I loved all the beautiful colors of Kekuli Bay in the background.
This gorgeous family of two, will soon be a family of three, and I can’t wait to photograph not only his newborn session, but also his birth! Yes, I am going to be a part of the BIGGEST day of their life and I can’t wait to capture all the emotion, determination and joy that a birth brings.
See you soon Winnie and Rob!
