As a Vernon Photographer, nothing excites me more than working with a family throughout the years.  I love the relationship I build with them.  Their children trust me so the rapport happens organically and with ease.  We have fun, we get caught up on life, and I get to document their children as they grow a little, or a lot, over the year that I last saw them.

Some of my clients however…..I see all the time….because they live on my street….and those sessions I especially adore.  We are not getting caught up….we are just hanging out, and I get to capture their children being the silly selves that I know so well.

I have loved photographing the Frank family.  Through two maternity sessions, two newborn sessions and family sessions in between.

This fall session was a ‘just because it’s so beautiful out’ session.  And because adorable son Niko is now learning to walk (with lots of help from momma) and the last time he was captured by me, he was a newborn.

I had two locations I really wanted to use to capture the beautiful foliage.  One was rather unorthodox and because I know Carlie and Peter so well, I asked if it would be okay to start at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.  Its’ trees in the fall are just breathtaking….and I have wanted to use that location for years; but I have always been nervous to ask a client if it would be okay.  With Carlie, I knew if she didn’t want to, she would feel comfortable to tell me.  Thankfully she agreed and I think the results are spectacular.

I love you Frank family and I LOVE working with your beautiful family!!!
