As a Vernon Photographer who specializes in Newborn Photography, Family Portraits and our ever popular Santa Photos in November, I have been lucky enough to see this darling girl and her family at all three such sessions.

This super active little one comes from Revelstoke BC and every time I see this family, I feel so very honoured that they drive almost two hours one way to see me.

Sky’s mom and dad are from the UK and moved to Revelstoke for a totally different lifestyle.

Snowboarding is a big part of moms life (so much so we incorporated much of her gear into Sky’s newborn session last year) and Revelstoke is the perfect location for gorgeous alpine terrain.

Growing up in Revelstoke, Sky loves being outdoors so it was only natural we create her cake smash and one year birthday portraits outside. The sand was of particular interest to her and until the cake arrived, we had to make sure she wasn’t stuffing sand in her mouth!

Although most little ones don’t find a cake smash that interesting, Sky was all over it! It’s probably because the cake, from The Frosted Tier in Armstrong is just THAT good! Thanks for opening on a Sunday for mom to pick up the cake! Sky’s cake was absolute perfection and fitted her name sake perfectly!

Sky loved the creamy frosting and cake and although she probably would have partaken more, mom and dad didn’t want a total baby sugar crash in the car ride to pick up her auntie at the airport who was flying in from the UK for a summer visit!

I absolutely adore working with this lovely family. Thanks again for entrusting me to capture such beautiful memories for your beautiful family!
