As a Vernon Photographer, it absolutely warms my heart when one of my maternity and newborn clients come back for a visit. It had been about 20 months since I last Little Sydney. Her mom and I had wanted to schedule a session last October (as mom thought having her photographed with pumpkins would be so cute) but unfortunately my family and I were away in Yokohama Japan (you can see some of the Wedding images I captured on my Wedding site, Wedded Bliss Photography) and we missed our window of opportunity. We then spoke about doing it in the Spring, but Sydney and her family got busy….but finally the stars aligned and we met on a gorgeous fall day.
Little Miss Sydney was just the sweetest during her session. We bonded instantly…I like to think she still remembers me and she was my little shadow all session. I carried her, hugged her and she reminded me so much of my daughter who is just 1/2 a year older than her. The only thing Miss Sydney didn’t want to do at first was smile. She was having too much fun collecting soap berries and checking out her surrounding. After all, going for a walk on the Gray Canal is a lot of fun and quite the adventure.
Mom, Cassandra even jumped in for a few images. Sorry Ken…we’ll have to catch you next time!
When I got home, I was so excited to start working on these beautiful images and I had to look back at Sydney’s newborn photos to see if there was any resemblance. I definitely think there is.
Thank you Miss Sydney for sharing some time with me. It was so much fun!
