I am one of the Vernon Photographers who specializes in newborn portraits and family portraits, and I was so very excited to meet baby Novella for her newborn portraits.

Over the 9 years that I have specialized in newborn photography, (I have been a wedding photographer for 14 years but only started working with newborns after I started my own family) I have met numerous clients because a loving friend or family member have gifted them with a portrait session.  It is the perfect baby shower gift and I am always honoured to create some beautiful portraits for the lucky family.

Newborn portraits become a treasured family heirloom.  It’s all about capturing a time in a families life that will never be so miraculously changed.  There is nothing more exciting than a newborn baby.  As my husband and daughter were taking this morning….the best day in my husbands life, was the day he met her!

For baby Novella, it was an Auntie in the U.K. that contacted me about creating these darling portraits.

Dan and Susie then contacted me, excited about the session that was being arranged for them.

After arriving in the Baby Bliss Photography studio, we chatted about the outfits and wraps I had set out, knowing a head of time what colours and ideas they had for wrappings.

We kept it very simple and organic in nature.  Soft neutral colours to compliment their home and style.  I was also told that a family member loved scrapped booking and was looking forward to creating some special pages for baby Novella.

Dan and Suzie, surrounded her in love during our time together and from their portrait choices; after our session, it is very clear, that by choosing a large number of family portraits, FAMILY is everything to them.
