As Vernon Photographers, we specialize in a number of portrait styles. Some of our favourites are maternity and newborn portraits. These two sessions are often bundled together by my clients as it is such an amazing photographic journey to capture both for my clients.

I think a lot of moms feel like they will always remember what they looked and felt like when they were pregnant, but once baby comes and life gets busy the memories start to fade. The body starts moving back into place, little feet stop kicking inside, and we start sleeping comfortably again. Capturing beautiful maternity portraits are a beautiful way to keep those pregnancy memories alive forever.

I love everything about maternity portraits. I love choosing the location to capture maternity portraits and I love helping my moms to be pick out beautiful gowns from my studio wardrobe to help make them feel beautiful.

If their partners are with us during the session, I love watching them taking care of their beloved and making them feel beautiful and empowered.

Maternity Portraits are such an exciting part of the Baby Bliss Photography studio experience and I love meeting new families to capture this beautiful time in their lives. I have three maternity sessions booked in the next few weeks. Seeing that we are still knee deep in snow, keeping mom nice and warm in the snow, between portrait set ups is key. We take lots of blanket breaks and if we are lucky, we have a sunny afternoon to help. I love how beautiful a snowy backdrop can be for maternity portraits. But I also look forward to the warmth of Spring and capturing more Vernon and Kelowna Maternity Portraits!
