As an Okanagan newborn photographer, with clients from all over the valley, I am always honoured when a family in Kelowna makes the drive to see me.  My families always tell me they love the drive to my studio at the Caetani Cultural Centre, as baby usually is lulled to sleep by the car ride and mom and dad get some quiet time to reflect on the new little person who has joined their family.

Little miss Jasmine Sophia either LOVED her car ride, the very warm studio, or the fact that she was 6 days new, but she slept like a champ!  I typically see my newborns around two weeks of age, but daddy’s work schedule needed to bump up the day I saw her….and based on her sleepiness, I may need to revisit my studio policy 🙂    She barely stirred and didn’t nurse once in the 2 1/2 hr. session.  She was SO amazingly calm we probably could have finished the session in record time but we had so much fun changing up the numerous looks we did for her.  Mom loved playing dress up!  We had so many beautiful set ups and outfit changes.  

Mom wanted to keep the colour palette in the white and pink tones (although we snuck one grey backdrop in) so it would fit with their contemporary paint tones.  I see a lot of canvases on their walls in the near future.

This little girl is so loved.  Mom kept tearing up during the session and would often take only a quick peek at what dad and I were during during her session so as to not let the water works flow.

Ginger and Scott, I am so happy to have been on this exciting journey with you.  First with your Kelowna maternity portraits and now with her beautiful newborn portraits.  I am so happy you you are now a family of three!
