Vernon Family Photograhy is one of my favourite sessions.  And this session was spectacular for a number of reasons.  First I got to hang out with some of my favourite and well photographed clients.  Kim Daniel, a dear friend and amazing obstrycian who has delivered both of our children (I can not stress how amazing she is an O.R.) is fantastic at organizing her family so they can have their portraits taken.   I met the whole clan last year at Ellison Provincial Park and this year I was super excited she was able to secure Silver Sage Stables.

Silver Sage is owned by Patti and her daughter Kalie.  Patti is one of the amazing nurses that Kim works with at Vernon Jubilee Hospital and so when Kim mentioned that Patti suggested it as a possible location, I was thrilled.

Silver Sage Stables is a dream location.  Known as a gorgeous wedding venue, set amongst the most beautiful wheat fields, it also has an old stable for your reception!  Imagine a 2700 square foot wood lined barn with exposed wooden rafters and a large dance floor.  It couldn’t be a more picturesque location.

For our family session, I was so excited to take everyone into the wheat, use Silver Sage’s gorgeous couch and graciously said “Yes” to the bouquets that were still there from the Wedding the night before.  The little girls LOVED using them.  Thanks so much Kalie and Patti!

The patriarch and matriarch of the Debella clan are Joan and Steve.  With their three children all home for the September long weekend, accompanying spouses, and adorable children; it couldn’t have been a more fun morning.

The cool, overcast weather, the wheat and 6 adorable children all under the age of 5 made for a lot of gorgeous images and I am so thrilled to share the magic we were able to capture!
