Their handsome son Rowan is a sweet blend of both mom and dad. Mom kept asking who I thought he looked more like, and there were times during our session that I thought he looked like one of them and then it would switch. He certainly is handsome and I adore his hair! I mean who doesn’t love baby hair?!?!
Rowan slept like a trouper for his session an loved his snuggly portraits with mom and dad. Grandma, who is visiting from Nova Scotia to help with all the new transitions for the first few weeks also managed to get some beautiful portraits done. It was super special to have her in the studio watching her daughter be a mom. Nova Scotia is near and dear to my heart as I spent a few summers working there in my twenties and I loved chatting with her about her beautiful province. I have so many amazing memories there! It’s on my family list to make sure I get my children and husband there one day. I love that mom Helen was wearing her Saint of X ring from Nova Scotia’s prestigious University.
Rana (dad) was born in Montreal but his parents have since moved to India and so these portraits are a very special way to introduce Rowan to his extended family over seas. I am sure their heart is bursting seeing these and that they can’t wait to meet him in person.
Helen and Rana, you make a beautiful family of three. The love you have for each other, and now little Rana clearly shows in how you beam when staring at your little family. You are truly blessed.
