As a Vernon Photographer, I love getting to know my clients better through a variety of portrait sessions. I meet them through family sessions, newborn sessions and milestone portraits.
I first met little Porter however during my Santa photos in November. If you missed those sessions, I invite families into a private cabin I own for a wonderful chance to meet Santa and do portraits with the jolly man. Porter, at his session, had some exciting news to share at that session. Santa was “gifting” him with a little brother or sister in the Spring! He wasn’t sure how he felt about Santa but I am sure he is getting pretty excited about the baby that will be joining his family!
For these images, we managaed to create these adorable portraits the morning of his second birthday! Even though Mom and dad are going to be seeing me for a maternity and newborn sessions in the spring Mom said she didn’t want to wait to do a sesion with just Porter. She wanted to capture his “two-ness” and freeze this moment in time. Her little boy is growing up too fast!
Porter didn’t disappoint the morning of his session. His personality was shining bright. He was SO cute and happy! We had a fresh fall of snow that morning and then it stopped just in time for our session. It was a beautifully overcast day and I love the pop of colour from his fantastic yellow pants.
Porter, you are a little charmer. I am so honoured I got to spend your birthday morning capturing these beautiful portraits of you and all your cuteness! See you soon when mom and dad excitedly introduce your little brother or sister to your family!
